Blood Pressure Alert!

When Mervyn was booted off the Pirate/Free Radio forum run by the legend and house hold name that is Garry 'nobody got to me honest' Stevens, I thought it would soon settle back down to the boring place it had become, and so it did.

Far to many posts returned about a licenced community radio station, that is as much a pirate or free as any other OFCOM governed community station. Endless debates about 1KW of power lightened only by LWDavid who always manages to get Britains number one transmitter expert Dave Martin firing bullets. The so called Joke forum actually seems less of a joke, oh it's slow and has a level of tedium at times but unless a church member from The Lady Of Licenced Goodness turns up it tends to be more about other free radio with less meltdowns from crackpots.

I noted with interest that Mervyn got rid of the many "posts to nowhere" on his forum, I was a little disappointed as they were occasionally a source for a laugh, but yes, I understand why, moderating even with help is time consuming and if it then turns into troll farming then why not stop.

Well yesterday a Board Watcher (should that be bored watcher?) decided to mention Mervyn's place (why can't they say his name, is it something to do with The Lady Of Licensed Goodness recently published unrevised version of the Bible?). If you say Mervyn do you have to say a hundred hail Carolines and do penance, or even worse sing along with The Fortunes in a happy clappy manner? Anyway attention drawn the responses predictably started, I'm not going to repeat Mervyns own response, but somebody mentioned blood pressure, and with all the older people that read these forums I thought a few medical tips might help....

Well having glanced through the Lancet, and read up on a few scientific studies I can confirm that knowing the truth does not normally cause raised blood pressure. Neither does having an open mind, being prepared to concede your long held views might just need reviewing, or just reading. Blood pressure can rise if you have a hissy fit or continually stamp your feet shouting No! No! No! The good news is that being naive, or unable to understand logical reasoning might not cause raised blood pressure either, it just keeps you stupid. 

As we go to press I can confirm that the CIA declined to comment, however a spokesman for the Mafia stated that they don't like anoraks and find them a little scary.
