So, I was a bit suspectitious l about that poll as well

Was this an 0898 phone in poll run by Walker or England

What is the trade mark?

The RR symbol? The CAROLINE BELL?

Was this a real Gallop ping ring talking horse mouth from the south Poll

A Radio Station no one really knows anything about

suddenly says I know that trademark

Very suspicions

The Royal visit is to admire the Bee Hives of behaviour in the Dire Strait of Honey Money Muse?

Clairvoyant Kimmel - great guy but going into Trumpet administration faster the plastic ABC wristband shop for girls

Southern Comfort, a film I mentioned in an unpublished a week ago about Late Andy Kershaw world music is free to view on U tube. Plenty of well known actors in this. silly unbelievable scene at the start with blank capping off an mg60 but apart from that a vry good film. Essentialy, for those who have not seen it deliverance in the Louisiana swamps

Anything that gives us relief from well known actors and silly unbelievable claims about capping off CFA's is Northern Comfort Compost Indeed

Is there a WDC Directors Cut where all the extras moan about the money the producers pinched to build a structurally unsound ballroom and then heroic Paul flushed them down the WC with the mere mention of King Kennedy the Master architect
The Producers. It's springtime for great old memories about how the steam train was almost reinvented to pull horses and NAG carts

Germany’s civil defence plan: The government prepares the country for war

Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt (Christian Social Union, CSU) and the federal government are driving forward the transformation of Germany into a military state. Under the cynical pretext of “civil protection” and “civil defence,” the Interior Ministry is planning a 10-billion-euro programme designed to mesh the whole of society more closely with military war planning.

In reality, this is not about protecting the population but preparing for war. Germany is to be made fit for war as a central NATO hub for deployment against Russia.

UK radio station announces King Charles death before issuing huge apology

A UK radio station has issued an apology to its listeners after mistakenly announcing the death of King Charles. Radio Caroline, which broadcasts across the Midlands and South England, transmitted the message on Tuesday, May 19th, according to a listener who flagged the incident online. The listener reported that regular programming abruptly ceased before presenters declared that normal broadcasts had been suspended due to the death of King Charles III, followed by God Save the King. The station then fell silent for approximately 15 minutes before an on-air apology was delivered upon the hosts' return.

The blunder was put down to a "computer error", with Station Manager Peter Moore releasing a statement while explaining what had triggered the mistaken broadcast. In a statement shared on the radio station's Facebook page, Moore wrote: "Due to a computer error at our main studio, the Death of a Monarch procedure, which all UK stations hold in readiness while hoping not to require, was accidentally activated on Tuesday afternoon (19 May), mistakenly announcing that HRH the King had passed away.

"Radio Caroline then fell silent as would be required, which alerted us to restore programming and issue an on-air apology. Caroline has been pleased to broadcast Her Majesty the Queen's, and now the King's, Christmas Message, and we hope to do so for many years to come", reports the Daily Star.

"We apologise to HM the King and to our listeners for any distress caused." Listeners flooded the post's comments section to express their relief that the news was inaccurate, while others offered their sympathies to the radio presenters who had broadcast the erroneous obituary.

One person remarked: "On the plus side, at least you know the procedure for this is working and in place!", while another added: "I bet this made a few people stop in their tracks! It did give me a bit of a shock, but these mistakes can happen, and I was glad to find out it wasn't true."

King Charles is in good health, having arrived in Northern Ireland yesterday alongside Queen Camilla for the first day of a three-day visit. The pair enjoyed a lively start to the trip after touching down on Tuesday, being greeted with music, singing, dancing - and a taoscán of Titanic - in the capital, Belfast.

The Royal couple met with organisers and performers to mark Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann - the world's biggest festival of traditional Irish music, song and dance - which is set to descend on the city this August for the very first time.

Hello again Paul G,

This is a chattering/nattering forum, it never achieves anything but that is not its purpose.
The contributors never actually achieve anything.
The title has to hark back to past events, mostly long past, as there is no Pirate Radio activity of much significance left.
The one time operators now run web streams under the name of stations that closed up to 60 years ago.
If I started a stream that asked ' Could Garry Stevens Start A Pirate Station On The Moon ' you can be sure that some would comment on the possibility.

The Simon Dee Kite Mark

I remember the Rob A memory he remembers on GS of the C4 night 2003

Whatever happened to Simon Dee

There was an hour before of Bonnie Greer, Laurie Taylor etc smoking cigars in a Channel 4 After Dark room and talking bollox

Then there was a reimagining of Dee Time

I know Rob A has put up the entire clip but I don't want to relive it as such

I can recall the guests as Kenny's friend Cleo and an awful middle age actor no one knew talking Rada my darling rubbish Maybe there was a third quest. I don't care. The band were neither two poofs and a piano or Oasis and I just thought have the producers just set this crap up to prove how hopeless he was

He was not T Wogan switching seamlessly between Doctor Ruth, Spike Milligan and Bross

He was no Wogan, Jonathon Ross, Parkinson, Harty or Terry Christhelpus Norton and I guess the reason in the days of 3 TV channels and 3 radio stations that he was let go for the usual reason

He was a commodity and bought and sold down the river

Just the same as today

We respect him for the Caroline days and I am sure he was very nice as a person but there is no point GS dragging things up hoping Peter Moore will tell us how nice his handwriting was

RIP Simon Dee
