If you are curious about the powerful Dutch FM "Pop Up" free radio stations that have made their nation continue to keep un-licenced radio relevant, indeed vital in the twenty first century in Cloggie land then this video might help explain. It's a cultural thing above all else. It's also the fact that the Dutch still know how to party young and old. No white shaming here, it's a social justice warriors nightmare, yet so many idiots still cry racist over this. But who are the real racists? Those who seek to divide, or those who just want to have a grand time?

The Vagabonde Site is one I have boat fantasy marked and followed for some time but do not check in religiously due to bandwidth concerns I explain below. I knew they had taken Greta across whenever they did because I remember putting the first video up on here. Now when I am sorting my speed dials I see they must have edited all the footage ready. The sailing couplet, Riley, Elena now trio with Lenny have always struck me as totally sound, decent, interesting and intelligent people and it's a good blog for adventurers real or visceral to follow. What they really make of what Greta represents I don't know. I am going to watch at least a couple this month. I might not watch the world series of it all at once because I have to be careful on a P&G metered connection that's why I just dip in and out of them while keep track of viruses, and my T roll stocks and shares! Considering the average age (demographics for those young enough to know the word) of your anorak free radio enthusiast over on the Friends Of Malcolm's Caroline Board maybe they ought to arrange a farewell party. Either that or the most at risk anoraks could be allowed to stay on the Ross Revenge for the duration, after all it's not a cruise ship is it? Actually that's not a bad idea, let the oldest Caroline anoraks go to the Ross, after all most of them have paid for it's upkeep for decades! Fans of other offshore station need to start badgering the Principaltry of Sealand for a few weeks safe haven. Now you really do have Radio Free (of) Corona Virus, the home of miserable old folk in denial.

On the Rusling-Stevens Tin Pot Board is this report which was posted by Dermot O'Mara on March 13, 2020, 2:34 pm:

So the assertion that he is reading .... about Radio Caroline .... is one that is questionable given the facts from people "on the spot".

I'm in touch with Ronan's girlfriend .... who goes up to see him almost every day of the week. She has been there this afternoon (Friday) and now at 5.30 is on her way home. She will be back there tomorrow, Saturday, but next week the home is to be closed to visitors for one week. There is no change in Ronan's general condition, he can still walk fine. It is about 4 years ago he last went out to the races.

Ive also spoken to one of the nurses there recently.

Oh, so Ronan sits in a walled garden, can't speak or communicate, but miracle of miracles - Ronan can read Rusling's bible!

Rusling's religion offers miracle cures.

Last week we had a call from Ines, at Ronan's prompting, to pass on a message and felicitations to his friends in the radio world. They sent a picture of Ronan doing his exercises and asked that it be shared with everyone along with the message that he is feeling fit these days and is very happy. I relayed it to Caroline supporters at a meeting of the 648 Club in Essex the same day and have since put it on a separate page of the Bible's website. His close family are aware of this too.

One of the anonymous visitors to this forum has attacked me elsewhere and said I should be ashamed of using Ronan to promote the good book. Clearly, I haven't. Had I wanted to do that, I would put up a picture of Ronan reading the book (which he does, often).
I just had to put that straight.

The anonymous poster who had a dig seems to be one of those snowflakes who are always so desperate to take offence on behalf of others. I speak to Ronan and his family and go over there too, whenever I can; I wouldn't do so if I thought anyone close to him might be offended. If anyone else doesn't like Ronan's messages or his image appearing, perhaps they would identify themselves clearly and I shall be happy to pass the details to some people in Dundalk.

O'm proud to help Ronan, his friends and family, and certainly not ashamed. -------------------------------

He was told that he could but that Ronan was now ' non verbal ' so it would be a one sided conversation with no way of telling what Ronan understood. His closest confidante is/was Mike Plumley who has visited more recently, saying that Ronan did not react, nor seem to recognise him and took no part in the conversations going on around him. Vanessa Price is Ronan's niece who visits each fortnight. She states that he has not been able to read anything since two years ago when he attempted to read out newspaper headlines and that the last time he made any sound that could be considered as an attempt at speech was early in 2019.

So the assertion that he is reading, for example about Radio Caroline, following sport, sending messages to his true radio friends and giving permission for pictures to be published is one that is questionable given the facts from people "on the spot". Maybe there have been crossed wires between certain people and the resultant message has been distorted, rather than giving the true reality of the situation.

Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but I just feel people who are interested should know. ----------------------------------

I wonder how Paul Rusling's book is read by Ronan or how he enjoys listening to it ? So who's been telling porkies to sell his unresearched fictional master piece? The Yorkshireman is getting found out ha ha......

Oh deary me.

I stopped posting here because of the sort of feeding frenzy that happened almost at once concerning Ronan's health. So some facts.

He has vascular dementia, where as I understand, small bleeds on the brain progressively and irreversibly remove memory, mobility, speech, recognition and so on. He was diagnosed in 2013, but I felt that as far back as 2006 all was not well. By 2010 he had severe memory loss. By 2012 he told his carer/companion Ines that he ' thought ' he had a radio station that was in Kent and that the Captain was Roger Moore. So 2013 was just confirmation of a long existing condition.

I guess that, as with so many of you, Mr O'Mara is an assumed name but that does not detract from the message. Vanessa as mentioned, is Ronan's niece who lives locally and visits regularly. Mike Plumley is Ronan's closest long term pal and confidante. I trust what they say.

Paul R is actually getting information from Ines Trindade, a dedicated lady who has cared for Ronan for eight years now. In many years of asking her specifically how Ronan is I never got a straight answer only the comment always repeated 'Ronan, he is doing great'. I suspect that due to her devotion this is the situation she craves rather than the truth and I guess we can understand this. As 'O'Mara ' is being very negative and Paul ( via Ines ) very positive, they balance each other out.
I can wish that you would cease firing darts at O'Mara and each other, but you will not.

This board has become a circular shooting range and you will no doubt now tear strips off me so I am going to stand well away from the circle.

It does seem to be a convenient bonus point to clear out the world of the old and sick so "one world" can back to researching new atomic bombs and caring really really much about the still flooded out homeless, the no food to flush out anyway of Africa Etc. The you will follow my religion or pay pay pay in blood for our oil etc etc etc

I don't dare to dream how Jeremy would have dealt with this but so far I am nailing my colours to the Johnson mast. Painful though it might be Terassa May is thinking Thank Goodness not me
