It would be interesting to know how old you are James. You post a lot of crap but from time to time you let it slip that you have a brain capable of thought, which most of the Caroline anorak tribe do not.

A problem arises when trying to explain anything about radio when it comes to age. It also shows up on game shows regarding basic common knowledge. What used to be common knowledge is now becoming a void of total and utter ignorance.

So trolls resort to stupidity and sneering in order to conceal their lack of knowledge and their lack of ability to discuss anything. The more we post of substance, the less we get in feedback.

Rusling said it all to me personally when he admitted that he does not read books or do any sort of research. In the 'old days' they called what he does 'Chinese Whispers' - you start at one end of a line and tell the first person to 'pass it on' and the message received at the other end usually has no similarity to the message when first delivered.

So trolls throw tantrums and rocks to conceal their worthlessness.

What these morons fail to grasp is quantum mechanics applied to the study of offshore radio broadcasting history.

James you are of course correct - in one sense, but not in another.

When the world was free for discussion and information flowed - pre-James it seems - there was a large participating community on a Caroline Newsletter.

You would be amazed at how much information and genuine research was shared. Then a fellow called Brian Lister decided to write a book called 'Pirate Gold' and he gave the idea to Paul Rustling. Both were on the email Newsletter list. So was the 'Flashes and Flames' writer and many, many others.

But the in true petty anorak thieving style, bandits ran off with the expensive research and published their own self-glorification books with their names on them.

Rustling went so far as to team up with Malcolm Smith and wrap his arms around Smith's hulk and tiny station while lifting O'Rahilly the leading fraudster, to sainthood. Lister's book is still out there and so is the Rustlers, and they add to the pile of rubbish books already in circulation.

So there has to be some sort of buyer beware notices that will pop up on a Google Search and this is one of them. The other two Boards already show up there, and so the more indignation that is posted by the trolls, the more notices show up on Google Search.

Now you know why this is not a waste of time.

PM has already made a couple of posts on the Free Radio Board concerning the practicalities and issues regarding his teams operations. Very interesting and informative, and well received.

To be honest, I can think of no good reason why he would want to come here for an 'intellectual assessment' of his operations. I'm pretty sure that he has more worthwhile things to do.

As far as the Alan Crawford question is concerned, I suspect that it's not about having the guts to post here, more likely that nobody knows the answer, does know but chooses not to share the information, or are just not interested.

I think that using the 'Caroline Brooks' identity has caused alot of opportunities for criticism and has been an unnecessary diversion from the purpose of Mervyn's board. I'm sure he has his reasons for doing so, but they are not clear to me.

Lots of real meat and potatoes there 'Biden My Time'. But there have been some new developments regarding our publishing timeline.

The first is a promise to serialize some of it for a museum newsletter where the current phase of investigation began.

The second is the emergence of a scholar whose work impacts the work of a professor we have previously written about. (Not Dr Gilder). If we can put that scholar in touch with the professor, it may result in a very big story indeed.

But in any event the publishing project is moving ahead and if you will take time to read the CB Blog, you will discover that in the last 7 days some big news has already been released.

But the book project is moving ahead!

This is far bigger in scope than we first imagined and far bigger that the tiny minds of Rusling and co.

This is a big subject and how big a can of worms do you want to open ? As I think I mentioned before, social media gives a platform to people who in the past, like the pub bore for instance, would be told to eff off by other drinkers and barred by the Landlord if he persisted. If you add the man who talks in riddles and assorted fruit loops it does not leave a very credible forum.

Do you recall I was told to drop the name Radio Caroline as it was such a drawback and to use the name Radio Ross Revenge. I said that this made as much sense as walking in to Harrods and suggesting they rename as Big Shop in Kensington.

I regret that some of the comments are so ludicrous that I resort to sarcasm which may be one reason for being disliked. But as the saying goes ' if you throw a stone in to a pack of dogs, the one that howls is the one you hit '.
