The Real Pirate Radio Legacy Belongs To?

Just asking for a friend, but were the real radio pirates those who came around in the mid 1990's and onwards? Prior to that the offshore and unlicensed land based stations in the UK, Holland etc, went out of their way to explain that they were free radio stations, many of whom said they would happily be licensed if they could just continue to do their thing (well words to that effect).

Plenty of time was spent by offshore stations explaining that by being in international waters they could not be pirates as they were outside of any governmental jurisdiction. The bigger land-based stations lobbied for a license (Radio Jackie & Radio Sovereign initially come to mind, there were others) and many of the rest were just part time weekend hobbies run by very naughty boys.

Anyway this is an interesting video about some who happily knew they were pirates, loved every minute of it and were living in the moment. Ringway Manchester is a fine Youtube channel and hopefully more will follow on this era when Pirate Radio really did test boundaries (pun intended). For the old fart anoraks, don't forget that these were all drug pushing gangsters who stole your legacy, oops sorry who stole your transmitters and headlines.

The fact of the matter is that people like Paul Rusling are out and out thieves. They are also lazy spongers who inflate their egos telling others how smart they are. But Rusling is not smart and his lack of high-end wealth reflects that his engineering skills are mainly huff and puff. So Rusling, like most of the anoraks, think that it is more fun and far cheaper to steal from others and try to squeeze out a living by self publishing on demand a brain-dead version of anything to do with radio. He was even chucked out of Laser and the IoM came to nothing. He flirted with the NY crook behind the Ross Revenge and all of that came to nothing. In fact Rusling and the anoraks never have achieved anything except for petty theft. So it is with tower block pirates peddling drugs. Life in the UK trendles on under the same old political regime because the yapping idiots like Rusling are too bone lazy to actually do any real work.

Malcolm loves to tinker with engines and mechanical things, and he has been drawn into the world of maritime hulks which have ties to fish and pirate radio. The fish he is not interested in, except that there may be more value in the heritage of fishing than there is in the heritage of the pirate Radio Caroline. Fish may one day save his hulk. Radio Caroline will not. Meantime Malcolm is having fun with spanners and oily rags.

Then you should know that something major has been announced which is not under the control of Fragile Threads. In fact everyone is waiting with baited breath to see what will happen. We are told within days but it could be hours.

When that event happens, if it happens then we can tell you more.

The Ross Revenge was a pirate ship created with stolen money, and a big portion of that was syphoned off by Ronan O'Rahilly.

So now Ronan O'Rahilly is a thief and a liar.

Please explain what on earth Malcolm Smith is raising money for by claiming (falsely) that his own 'Radio Caroline' is anything more than his own venture based around what is now a hulk in need of repair.

Malcolm needs money, but he claims to be raising it honestly unlike Ronan O'Rahilly who stole money under false pretenses.

But if Malcolm keeps linking his own station to the image of Ronan O'Rahilly and claiming that there is some connection to events in 1964, then Malcolm is claiming that its okay for him to lie, but it was not okay for Ronan to lie, and yet both of them have used false pretenses to put money from suckers who believe anything (or so it seems.)

Well done Mervyn on the new forum. Of course, it's the old forum which has been brought back from the dead again. Four views of the first post already. Amazing achievement. It's a shame that the content is a rehash of the same old same old, but on the plus side it does contain a link to another forum which appears to be the most sensible and balanced of those available. Thanks for the link, I have signed up as it's always interesting to learn from Peter Moore's insights into how things actually were and are.

If the anoraks want to know all about Simor Establishment it was featured in a US criminal court case in Philadelphia that Genie Baskir investigated with others many decades ago. Some of her notes were then passed over to Chris Edwards at OEM who published several items. Now here comes Malcolm Smith with a supposed revelation and someone who looks like know-it-all Scottg (who knows absolutely nothing), telling another anorak all about Simor, as if Scottg or any other anorak know anything about Simor. Read OEM, the basic story is in that magazine. But the fact is that Rusling and Weiner and others all got involved with the aftermath of a US criminal court case that the crook Ronan O'Rahilly was a part of and dodged getting charged by the US Justice Department in that case which is identified as the 'Radio Caroline' criminal court case. O'Rahilly failed to show up in court. Rusling has dealt with the criminal element behind that case, and so has Alan Weiner. But it takes a really stupid anorak to come along who knows nothing and tries to correct others. A stupid person like Scottg.

It would most certainly help if my original post had been published, for ALL to see, rather than once again linking my name to nothing that I posted recently. Mervyn, your arrogance and rudeness is totally out control, and will NOT be tolerated. After initially (after original information supplied), you invited me to participate further.. The minute that I co-shared information on another board, you turned against me, calling me stupid etc. You have lost total respect of many who have helped you in the past. You are full of excuses for not revealing your ultimate findings about the origins of Radio Caroline to the general public, but only to a select few, and that in very limited form, as you call it 'part-work'. I have seen it, and agree on some, but not all. It is long overdue that you got off your academic soapbox that is on a roundabout , because you will fall off. The fact is that John Shanks does not have a journalistic investigative background, and when Scottg is overlaid with John Shanks it tips the 50-50 weight of the scales of justice to at least 60-40 to conclude that Scottg is John Shanks.

When the background of John Shanks is analyized what do we find? We find 'like' after 'like' for Paul Alexander Rusling.

So who built his claim to infamy upon that daft myth about 'Jimmy Ross'? The answer is Paul Rusling.

I refer to Malcolm Smith who annoyingly and in some instances ILLEGALLY calls himself Peter Moore on UK government documents.

But today, on the Dave Forum that Garry calls the Joke Board, Malcolm Smith has come out and confirmed that Ronan O'Rahilly was a lying, cheating, stealing scum bag. Hooray, he's dead!

Then, on the Garry Forum along comes James McGregor who began life writing under a garbage sack full of stupid pen names, and he has castigated Malcolm Smith for telling the truth about Ronan O'Rahilly.

But then James McGregor who worships the very traces of sweat that Ronan O'Rahilly once dripped when he thought he would have to attend the CRIMINAL TRIAL involving the money STOLEN to outfit the Ross Revenge, has now popped up on the Garry Board to attack Malcolm Smith for debunking the Caroline messiah and he wonder if Ronan's picture will soon be removed from the 648 web site and replaced with Malcolm Smith shouting "it's mine; it's mine, it's all mine".

Personally I don't care what Malcolm Smith does with his Ofcom licensed stations or his hulk named Ross Revenge.

What I object to is the two-face LYING scum bag that is Garry who defends that THIEF called Paul Rusling - who is also another tub of LIES - and I object to Malcolm who I have had some contact with dating back to the days of John Burch and his side-kick 'Christopher England'.

Malcolm attacks our investigation when what we are attacking is the lie that Malcolm's station called Caroline is linked to the 1964 station called Caroline.

Now Malcolm is admitting that what we are writing about Ronan O'Rahilly is TRUE and this only supports Malcom's contention that his station called Caroline is Malcolm's Ofcom licensed station and it belongs to no one else.

Now Rusling is the worst scum bag of all. He is a thief who takes and twists to promote a LIE that even Malcolm Smith denounces as a LIE.

James McGregor is just a sick fool whose mind keeps telling him that he is clever when the world keeps telling to stop being a fool (not just playing the fool).

Okay, here's the deal Malcolm Smith:

I will make sure that we lay off taking pokes at you and leave you to your own devices, IF you will stop speaking out of both sides of your mouth.

Take down those stupid book ads from your web site - especially the one about Caroline by Paul Alexander Rusling, AND ....

Either shut up about our investigation that is ripping the rotting legacy of Ronan O'Rahilly apart, or EMBRACE what we are writing in order to distance yourself from O'Rahilly, Rusling and the host of really stupid anoraks who have been conned into forking over their money to a total fraud, which is that the present station called Caroline is linked to the Caroline of 1964-1967.

You know and you ADMIT that is not and you ADMIT that O'Rahilly was as bad as con men com. Even his Dad, according to you wanted nothing to do with him.

Ronan's dad was a smart man who built a successful business which got along well with the UK DTI and many other UK governmental entities. He had to. He was in the export business.

Ronan was in the lying, cheating, stealing business, as you, Malcolm Smith are admitting over and over again in what James McGregor calls constant drips. But what McGregor won't admit is that they are constant drips of truth.

Malcolm Smith has been candid and honest about Ronan O'Rahilly today so should I expect lots of bile aimed at him now?

Time will tell but I very much doubt it. Let me be clear I am interested in the truth and cutting through all the fake stuff, that's all.

Sometimes you have to strip out all the emotion, rose tinted views of the past and just search for verifiable information and logic that stands up to scrutiny.

It's all very simple really. Do you want the truth or your version of the truth with a comfort blanket thrown in for good measure. Somehow I think James needs a big comfort blanket right now.

Comfor Blanket. I was so shocked and distgusted of John Milton Keys last night I needed Southern Comfort (great film like Deliverence in the swamps 1982)

As regards my personal health I realised the bash to my head and ears and shoulders and everywhere else I might have hinted at on here has plateuted to a point where it is obvious that time alone will not heal without intervention and on Friday made a GP appointment. They were so helpful they offered the same day but as I was not in a decent state to attend changed for Mon 5. I will course keep you updated as unfortuantley you are all my best friends that I have got

The turning point for me was when Peter totally unnecessarily divulged he had been ask for £1000 and another and other and then another from Roger Moore and a letter for his "career" to imigration for a plane ticket and don't part me from my partner. Obviously Peter being almost as well connected as Paul and highly respected in Whitehall is fast tracking a visa for "partner" that for ordinary people making a similar request would likley as not been told go away and get a career job elsewhere

This is a drip drip drip for no real reason and really for not benefit to the station or anyone else. So why does he keep doing it and making a parody of the anoroks he mocks for repeting the same old storires convinced they know top secrets. Is he not now doing the same thing
