A self-proclaimed "Nazi" teenager has been detained for 18 months after a court heard he had amassed a hoard of weapons and discussed online whether to "shoot up" his school.

The 15-year-old, from near Market Drayton in Shropshire, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to possessing a butterfly knife, a stun gun, a baton and crossbow without supervision in November.

He also admitted having terrorist information in a third-party's manifesto.

On Friday, Judge Rebecca Trowler KC told the boy he "plainly had terrorist motivations, both racial and ideological".

In addition to the 18-month custodial term, he was also sentenced to 12 months on licence and given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for three years.

"There was a real risk that you would carry out an attack and cause actual harm, however I am not satisfied that the risk of harm was very likely," the judge said.

Actually after playing around tonight, I have the answer to this. The Stoke/NUL MUX does reach my town to the west but only strongly upstairs! (cos it's VHF see). The answer is to do the scan in the best high uplocation, then set wanted ones to presets. This improved the scan from 89 downstairs to 112+ upstairs. Centreforce 88.3 from Wales is receivable but as with Caroline there are only a few spots in a downstairs room where it does not cut in and out.. Seems to be a more of a pop tribute station rather than mad 80's ravers though.. It's the same on both my Silvercrest and August (which was the £37, I originally thought, now £47). Have both side by side on Caroline does expose the audio differences though. Silvercrest being a lot brighter and August rather duller. They both have their merits and I don't listen to any radio for very long periods. I have ordered a USB bluetooth for £3.99 new, 3 day UK dispatch through letterbox 800+ already sold. That can't be bad, the postage must be most of that. I want excellent audio for the great day today to hear the great man speak. Unfortunately I will not be there to cheer him in person but he is in my thoughts and prayers

1. The Panasonic 2400. This is a very good choice of radio. Works very well. Nothing to be out of place of being seen in a Radio Station or the home of a 9 to 99 year old. Works on DSP chip of course. I would suggest doing what I did though last Christmas and buying it from Panasonic UK Direct. Mine with shipping and first customer discount was £30.99

2 I have also recently purchased a radio from Robert Dyas. August MB40. A different beast DAB, BLue T, retro golden wood look. USB charged battery, disk, usb sockets Remote control Sounds a little bassy boxy for Hi FI purists listening for hours but for £37 at time of purchase, now £47 due to TARRIFS. This is still good for the features and the style. I use as Aux speaker for tinny laptop. Lead supplied Blue T adapter not but around £6 from anywhere

It was not their fault and so Royal mail presumably owe them for losing a parcel

Corrections and addendums

The speaker on the Panasonic 2400 is very good, large and balanced tone and the build quality is very high. AM/FM sensitivity very good enough

Robert Dyas are part of the Ryman Group and do have physical stores down South. The August MB450 does have adjustable EQ but it is the pretty useless "Jazz Rock, Pop, classic", talk settings" I find the best pop rock normal setting is Classic. It's also got that strange thing where you can take a smart phone call through it

The price to me in Jan was 47 not 37. Now it's at least 57 + where on sale. Still good though with all the connections and features

The next move up would be a Roberts £100 to £150

I have a good few more hoops to jump through, until I can dry dock Maidstone's studios. I also need to find a new home for Radio North Caroline International, when I send the former BBC world service site to damp dock in the Isle Of Man. My main priority however is to go to court and and give Rob Day a damn good thrashing (just don't mention any fines incurred).

After that I will not answer any questions on Radio Essex, as that is business and not for you anorak oiks. Then it's off to my therapist and home for an early knight (bless him)

Just to state the obvious here, which seems to get lost by most people.

The hellfire is a relatively small air to ground missile designed to hit tanks. It is neither designed for nor suited to take down fast moving airial targets, let alone UFOs. It does not have the right tracking system, the right guidance system nor the right warhead to shoot down planes. It weighs about 1/3 of an AIM 120 and flies 1/3 as fast as an AIM 120which is what you would want to shoot at a UFO.

In the video the Hellfire does not appear to detonate, which is not a huge surprise considering the missile is not designed to hit airial targets. If it hits something solid like maybe a grenade from a large caliber naval gun it would just break apart as it does here. The warhead weighs around 8 kilos, so if it does not detonate it will not stop a heavy object.

I first experienced this as a kid under an electric blanket, stroking the wall behind the bed with the back of my finger. I then experienced it on stroking the top of a microwave, and thought it must be an electromagnetic field. Now it has been quite strong on a mains radio antenna so I have looked it up and found out what it is. I'm not going to lick it though but hope anyone who was similarly concerned about this is reassured, and I am going to stop stroking antennas!

Mike, this is a lost cause. The 200 Caroline Revenge Supporters (20?), coupled with a certain name are all that Malcolm Smith has going for him.
