Basically while encouraging the usual click subscribe, ring my hell, buy my book he relates how amazing it is that the same mistakes are made over and over again, politically and financially like everyone (in power) just came down from the moon and did not look out at the high street or the interest rate on their Earthly bank statements) in my case 0 and not because of lack of balance just - we don't do interest savings or current any more. So they are just a paper safe?

The other point he makes is the usual we are GTHIAH cart because next to no one can afford a purchased (borrowed) home and that a disproportionate amount of the printed Covid easing went to the super high ups (energy, corporate etc), fair enough to keep things going but now the £20 extra on the giro lot are paying that back disproportionately

This Garry's interesting take on wealth redistribution is not Lenin or violence or just blanket tax the "rich" but he did have an interesting view on redistribution

During Ukraine 2022 when Oligarchs who had more or less gangster taken over potentially profitable bits of the USSR did nice things like buying UK mansions they only used for sleepovers and buying football clubs to be accepted (and more or less buy unofficial acceptance of duel citizenship - jolly nice person)

The Roman Abro effect of freezing and seizing was an interesting redistribution which rather like the UK land owners over the years suffering since Magna Carter and South Sea Bubble burst stock did not seem to harm the wealth of the mega wealthy, just that they don't want to visit here much any more

The redistribution of wealth of the communist collective to "capitalist gangsters" has worked no better for anyone involved except the mutual use of offshore accountancy to shuffle it around

My naïve idea is that rather than discourage venture capitalist speculation a real tax (promoted and Paid as a tax break would to be say this money you lost on this silly idea is not just being blanket hoovered up for say the NHS but is actually going to go into a very specific pot for say subsidised housing

The same with booze and Vapes, smokes, rather than this goes to the NHS who are going to be treating you for buying these! do something useful and pay for your dubious pleasure by helping house a doctor or a plumber or at least rain some who were born in this country so we do not have to import them/

Emotionally this works a whole lot better, even if in fact it's maybe about the same penny for pound but don't forget emotion is 99% of brains (I'M EMO) and would achieve what governance desires of appealing to peoples better nature

Personally to provoke it a bit you cannot persuade anyone to have a talent or vocation to be a doctor or a plumber by incentivising a slightly easier life route. You either want it or not and question what assistance you will get for what outcome.

I'll go short on the stock market position of saying mine the beaches against all useless newcomers and refugees otherwise this country will have the GDP of The Isle of Wight and with no EU supported Human Rights Act

I would also offer discounted vasectomies and condoms

AND BAN TALK OF TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER BOYFRIEND TRAVIS PERKINS

Every time I walk down the road all I see is the construction industry booming, builders listening to Builder FM radio and unloading bags of Travis Perkins cement

This is not the progress I can cope with

Historical Photos from the Ross Revenge in Scotland, supplied by Robb Eden, who was the Radio Caroline station manager in the late 70's/early 80's. Rob tells us more:
‘To add to much of the historical information already published about the Ross Revenge I’ve sent you some interesting photos which were taken by me during our first trip to view the Ross in Cairnryan. On inspection by both myself and Chicago it soon became apparent that we had found the ship we had been seeking to replace the Mi Amigo. We had to act quickly as the ship had been impounded and was due to be broken up.
To set things in motion I contacted the High Sheriff’s office in Glasgow to inform them of our interest and appointed Frederick Levine of Frederick & Co. to act for us. Following the purchase Koos van Duin and Leonis Troost became involved as their maritime knowledge and connection with offshore radio was long established. Koos and Leonis flew over from Holland and after picking them up from the airport they stayed overnight at our cottage in the Cotswolds before we drove up to Cairnryan the next day.
Before setting sail, a number of things had to be done, including purchasing supplies which I organised locally and items from Thomas Foulks, the chandlers in Leytonstone, London. This included a 10-man life-raft, extinguishers, fire blankets etc. The total bill came to £1,096.04. The ship was also registered to Grophan Steamship Lines Inc., Panama City.
Koos tried a number of times to start the main ship’s engine but it soon became apparent that we needed help. I contacted Silas Oates in Plymouth, the former Captain and owner,

but was finding it impossible to hold a conversation with him as he had been drinking.

I managed to obtain the name of a former crew member, Brian Pierce and spoke to his mother. I can’t honestly remember whether it was Silas Oats or Brian who came up to Cairnryan but monies passed hands, the engines were started and the ship sailed to Santander.
Leonis’s ship, The Truman, was already berthed at the Astilleros de Santander therefore, on arrival, the Ross Revenge had immediate phone and telex contact as these were already established for the Truman. If you look carefully at a couple of the photos you will see the Ark Royal in the background. Another shot shows the Ark Royal side onto the jetty. At the time it may not have seemed relevant but when Nicky Horne interviewed me for Thames Television he asked whether we had already bought a new ship to which I replied “there’s no truth in the rumour that we’ve bought the Ark Royal”.
To establish the facts, I would like to emphasise that working for Radio Caroline often meant robbing Peter to pay Paul especially after the Mi Amigo sank. The roadshow money dried up but bills still needed to be paid. It was sometimes difficult for those not in the immediate circle to understand this, especially since most thought nothing was being done. As we near Caroline’s 60th anniversary I hope the beneficiaries of our endeavours, the current crew and listeners, appreciate the work we put in to ensure that the Caroline name lives on.'

Rob Eden, did a lot for Caroline. He should at least be thanked.
There are many more just like Rob, who over the years - were unknown hero's that kept the voice of Caroline, alive.

Yes, at one time Radio Caroline was a free radio station - but not because it played records - but because it sold political and religious airtime. Try that now, Malcolm Smith. You can't without losing your government license. It doesn't matter whose political and religious views are broadcast just as long as they are not allowed on the UK government airwaves. Tony Blackburn, Johnny Walker and all the rest because government paid stooges. Malcolm Smith is a government agent because he represents a government license and he is forbidden to turn his Radio Caroline into a free radio station. Argue that one you dopes.

Actually Mr Hagger, for it is clearly you using my prefixed name, did not RC put out religion on the satellite, using the title Viewpoint 819 and does Manx Radio now do the same thing when they get fed up with scrounging every penny they can from RC North once a month?. Is it just done as a Chris Williams favour to the tourist trade. Tour the Hoky Holy land Of Ramsey - hear a fragment of the True Cross?

When attempting to seek assurances about the conduct of the SAS, Mr Mercer said he was told that no full motion video (FMV) was available for operations being scrutinised by the Royal Military Police - a claim he told the inquiry he regarded as completely implausible.

He said that when he challenged the head of UK Special Forces, General Sir Roland Walker, about the apparent lack of footage, Gen Walker simply leant back on his chair and shrugged.

Mr Mercer told the inquiry he was angry at Gen Walker, as well as the then-head of the head of the British Army, General Sir Mark Carlton-Smith, for apparently misleading him.

"I don't disguise the fact that I am angry with these people," he said. "The fact that I'm sat here today is because those people, with their rank and privileges, have not done their job."

I think one or two of these guys were in a van on Uttoxeter Train station car park in July 1989 and noticed the Anoraks UK 25 year RC sticker on my mother's blue Ford Escort and struck up a conversation with me about Radio Impact and now they they had been to the Communicate 88 in Blackpool, (with the late Judy Murphy there ect)

I don't know which one has died recently but maybe someone if this is posted will read this and remember Uttoxeter train station in 1989 and the 18 year old with his mum with the Caroline sticker on the Fod Escort. Amazingly They were listening to 558 in their van and I said "have you got an Anorak's UK loop in there? and he said no it was on a rubber duck. I was surprised it was so strong compared to my remote farmstead nearby on a Grundig Party Boy

I know he is not a third party columnist for comments about the other main two protagonists elsewhere but then again this seems to be the only place anyone can speak free!
