As you supposedly free thinking anoraks, so often declare your love of freedom, of free radio, of your past moments of glorious rebellion against "the man," just consider what is being said here.

Or are you scared? Scared to raise your heads up and question why, everything going on right now with those in power and authority is so dark and evil.

Or will you just write an insane diatribe, or rely on James M to do so on your behalf? Alternatively the Church of Caroline might be your chosen final resting place, in which case you can hurry off there, and leave your children and grand children to pick up the pieces.  Not that they will have much to pick up.

For many the 1970's and 1980's version of Radio Caroline was a place where the British state & government were challenged over the right to freedom. Thanks to Malcolm Smith and his chosen circle of hippies, that finished soon after the Ross Revenge was starved of essential supplies, and deliberately left to its own abandonment on the Goodwin Sands.   

For the Church of Caroline disciples this is inconceivable. I was there and that is what happened, {so get over it). The original Radio Caroline ended in 1967/68. All that followed was in name only. As Scottg likes to say "prove that I am wrong."

I am not going to hold my breath, but might biased BBC have a problem? The box ticking cronies ain't happy, so who knows? 

Also, to anyone leaving a stupid anti Mervyn comment here, you are wasting your time. I am not Mervyn, and I don't waste his time with your drivel or 'hissy fits.' As the censors do not give him the right to reply on the nut job free radio boards, he is welcome here, to say his piece. If you don't like it, tough!

Finally this time around, it is clear that there are a couple (or more) two faced people, that say one thing here and another thing on the supposedly free radio forums. Do you think I am that stupid, not to see through your inane efforts to be clever or two faced?

For the record, I know some of the facts (as in provable and beyond reasonable doubt) that Mervyn and the trio are sitting on. In due course plenty of high profile anoraks and their blind followers are going to look incredibly stupid.

If you look closely at the music Radio Caroline played in 1964, then one genre that was clearly lacking was Rock & Roll along with many of the younger British artists and their emerging styles of pop music. As mentioned elsewhere and born out by the old recordings Radio Caroline's target market was clearly not the slowly growing gangs of Mod's and Rockers.

That said the British music scene was becoming increasingly vibrant without the help of Caroline. Radio Luxembourg and British television was limited in exposing new or up and coming artist's however the public new what they wanted and an explosion of new acts constantly arrived in the late fifties on-wards into the sixties.
